Letter from the Brentford FC boardroom, 30th August 2006
Dear Supporters,
At the last home game I was pleased to be able to introduce our new MD to as many supporters as I could. Keith came to the Princess Royal with me before the game, we watched the match together in Brook Road and met more supporters, queued for refreshments and, after the match, went off to the Griffin for more introductions. I was also briefly with Keith at Swindon where he met more supporters.
I find it very positive that Keith is taking the time and trouble to meet supporters before he starts in the job. I am meeting with him this Thursday to hand over the areas that I have been working on so that I can fully concentrate on the role of Supporter Director.
I wish Keith every success in the role of MD and hope that, when he starts next Monday, it is the start of a long and successful career with the Football Club.
One of the things I will be updating Keith on is the status of the advanced purchase ticket system. We made the decision to go live with the system despite some further refinement being needed. This was done because we wanted to give supporters the service they have been requesting without any further delay, while waiting for Audience View to make some minor amendments. As always, once you have used the system to order tickets we welcome your feedback.
Finally this Saturday’s match with Bradford will see us playing the top game in London, as there are no games in either the Premiership or Championship due to international matches. Why not bring along a football loving friend who may be suffering from “football withdrawal symptoms” to watch our game on Saturday?
Let’s work together!
Jon Gosling
