Letter from the Brentford FC boardroom, 21st May 2007

Dear Supporters,

I salute all those supporters who took part in the walk from Brighton. They are very dedicated people to even contemplate walking sixty-four miles in twenty-four hours. I was amazed that anyone completed such a task; just to have started the walk earned my total respect.

It is that willingness of supporters to push themselves to the limits of physical endurance for the sake of Brentford Football Club, that makes me proud to be associated with them and the Club. Our supporters never cease to astonish me with their efforts to keep our Club alive whilst at the same time thinking of others by, this time, also raising funds for CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young).

Forty years ago Brentford supporters showed that they were special with their efforts to keep the Club alive and once again this latest feat in a series of staggering contributions is what makes our Club special.

Well done and thank you to everyone who walked, supported, organised and sponsored the event. You really do make a difference to the Club and once again you make me extremely proud to represent you on the Club Board.

Let's work together!

Jon Gosling
