Letter from the Brentford FC boardroom, 26th June 2007

Dear Supporters,

I was delighted to see the Club's supporters being recognised again for their superb support. The latest accolade has come from Tranmere Rovers supporters who voted our away following as "the best fans to visit Prenton Park" last season. Announcing the award on www.roversrearguard.com, Richard Ault stated that the "Bees' following made a big impression on the final day of the season for their support of their already relegated team." He cited the "constant singing and humorous chants" as a major factor in the decision.

Your support was fantastic on that day and resulted in one Tranmere director asking me, "The noise of your support was outstanding, and what would they have been like if your team was winning?"

In truth your support at Tranmere was not unusual and for a team that finished bottom of the league it was absolutely outstanding. Well, I hope by the time the season starts again you will have got over the disappointment of relegation and be giving the team that special backing once again.

Well done to each and everyone one of you and once again it is a privilege to represent you on the Club Board.

Let's work together!

Jon Gosling
