Letter from the Brentford FC boardroom, 5th May 2008
Dear Supporters,
Well done to the “Famous Four” walkers for the efforts in getting to Stockport last Saturday. The four, Natasha Judge, Peter (Pedro) Maynard, Claire McNicholls and Chris Tate, pushed themselves to the limits of physical endurance for the sake of Brentford Football Club, and that makes me proud to be associated with them and the Club.
They quite rightly received the applause of both Brentford and Stockport supporters last Saturday after their 190 mile trek. Stockport treated them extremely well and was a very generous host to the walkers; they even supported a bucket collection. This raised £450.12 which will be split 50/50 between the two trusts.
I hope the walkers’ aches and pains have diminished over the last week although I’m sure their memories of that eventful week will not!
Special thanks should go to Jason Judge who provided support during the week and to all of you who supported and sponsored the walkers. Once again you have shown why our Club is very special and it is a privilege to represent you on the Club board.
