What happened at the Surgery?
On Saturday, 29 September I held a surgery for supporters in the Hive in the Braemar Road Stand. I met with eleven supporters. I would like to thank all those that came to meet me. The main topics that they raised were:
- Why can’t the Hive be returned to supporters rather than being used for corporate hospitality? I understand from our CEO, Keith Dickens, that this is a question of economics for the Club. He will be talking to supporters further about this.
- When do the five players we currently have on loan end their loans? Grant Basey’s loan spell ends 13 October, whilst Ben Hamer’s and Adrian Pettigrew’s loans ends 12 October (midnight) with a possible 28 day extension available. Sammy Moore’s and Ben Starosta’s loans end 7 January, further extensions would be possible as the loan runs out in the transfer window. Please note that all loan extensions are subject to agreement between all parties involved.
- Why has Bees United put an opt-out clause on the season ticket application which was easy to overlook? The aim of putting the opt-out clause was not to catch anyone out but to simplify joining the Trust. If anyone feels that this has caused a misunderstanding they should contact Trevor Inns, Deputy Chair of Bees United by writing to him either by email, trevor.inns@beesunited.org.uk, or standard mail c/o the Club.
My next surgery in the in the Princess Royal before the home game with Rotherham United on Friday 12 October and not on 27 October as previously advertised. I will be there between 6.15 - 7.15 pm.
