What happened at the Surgery?
On Saturday, 8 December I held a surgery for supporters in the Princess Royal. I met with seven supporters. I would like to thank all those that came to meet me. The main topics that they raised were:
- Given the teams form and League position understandably the vast majority of the questions that I was asked were about the playing performance and the manager’s position.
- What ever happened to the Build a Better Future campaign, which centred on a 'Buy a Brick' scheme? After the surgery I contacted Ron Cooper, who is running the scheme, he told me that there had a number of difficulties with both the administration of the order and finding suitable locations in Griffin Park. He was now pleased to report that the difficulties had now been overcome and sites agreed both in Braemar Road and New Road sides of the Ground. It was now planned that all the bricks that have been ordered would be in place by the home game with Notts County on 29 January. Ron offered his sincere apologies to all those affected by the delay.
Please note that, due to the postponement of the game with Bury on 26 January, my next surgery will be in the Bill Axbey Stand, New Road before the home game with Notts County on 29 January. I will be experimenting by holding the surgery closer to kick-off (7.00 - 7.30 pm) and also at halftime.
